Career 2006–2012: Career beginnings, Chairlift, and collaborative work She played in a couple of bands in high school and college. Polachek has worked extensively with other artists, collaborating with Blood Orange, Fischerspooner, Charli XCX, Oneohtrix Point Never and Flume, as well as writing material for Beyoncé (" No Angel"). In 2023, Polachek released Desire, I Want to Turn Into You which became her first record to enter the charts in multiple territories and earned her a Grammy nomination. Her debut studio album, Pang (2019), featured an avant-pop sound and was released to critical acclaim, with the single " So Hot You're Hurting My Feelings" receiving viral attention.
